The practice is objectionable from a medical perspective according to Dr. Manny Alvarez, chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Reproductive Science at Hackensack University Medical Center in NJ and a host of other physicians. In fact, Dr. Alvarez says that such medications are “life threatening.” Alvarez does not believe that this will stop the greater issue of premarital sexual relations but would accelerate it, leading to the further spread of venereal disease. Yet, somehow, one gets the distinct impression that making moral stances on human sexuality, even among children, is hardly on the minds of the mayor or the NYC Department of Education.
It is on my mind — and my heart.
The radical, moral anarchy that has lurked in the hearts of men since the Fall was given license in pseudo-intellectual circles of the early 20th century by the likes of Margaret Sanger, the mother of Planned Parenthood (“motherhood” being an admittedly ironic and cruel metaphor for this malicious woman and her menacing creation). Her influence was coupled with Marxist-Socialist movements in the 1960s and birthed far-reaching ethical and social changes that we have yet to recover from. That which was forbidden was soon, however, codified by the United States Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade.
Warnings made by those like President Ronald Reagan in his book, Abortion and the Conscience of a Nation (1984), about the national consequences of such immorality (immoral not only on the standards of both the Bible, the Western Civilization that was erected through the Old and New Testaments, but creation itself) should be renewed. Life is holy. Sexuality is the spark of life and human bonding that is intended by the Almighty, supported by His creation for those in a consecrated God-ordained covenant of marriage (between one man and one woman). Respect for human life is a supreme act of reverence for life’s Creator. Such respect will produce respect for the act of marriage. And such respect will produce modesty in women and nobility in men and appropriate restraint; modesty and nobility being the very essence of a civilized people. Yet immorality has bred immodesty and disrespect for God, His gift of marriage and sexuality, and thus, humanity itself.
Can it be reversed? I cannot fathom how wide-sweeping transformation of this nation’s moral condition can come about short of spiritual revival. Yet the nation has known the undeserved blessing of God before. Perhaps we have our Pilgrim forefathers and mothers to thank for that. Their covenant with God and the prayers of devout people may be our only hope for getting out of this “Plan B” nation we are living in now. We have never been this far along the downward spiral of sin and shame, but as a believer in Jesus Christ I retain hope.
As a pastor, I must decry this recent decision of a major school district, sure to spread to other parts of the nation, as the height of ungodliness which will, undoubtedly, produce infinitely more harm than good. The action is indicative of a confused people. As I pray to God to have mercy and send revival, I plead with right minded people to condemn this sordid mess and call it what it is: a misguided, immoral attempt to stop the cycle of sin and shame that they cannot even understand. For the sake of common sense and self survival as a people, if you will not speak for the sake of God, New York parents must take back, not their schools, but their children! They are yours, my friends, not the mayor’s or the school board’s.
Yes, we have lost our way. The sexual revolution’s unintended consequence was the killing of the unborn. The unintended consequence of that is that those who survived the sinister scalpels of Planned Parenthood over the last three decades are now, themselves, producing children outside of marriage. They are living out the immoral choices of their parents and grandparents. The only way to fix it, say the muddle-headed proponents of policies like the NYC Department of Education, is to dispense Plan B drugs. Why? I will tell you why: Because Plan A is not an option to them. Yet Plan A remains our only true hope for redemption of this sin-sick society. And Plan A is God’s Word and God’s Way which leads to God’s blessings.
There can be no Plan B and still have a future as a people.

[1] Christians Ask That President Obama Show the Same Respect and Tolerance toward the Christian Faith That He is showing toward Islamic Extremists and Terrorists
Reformed Presbyterian pastor the Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, published the following press release on 14 September 2012:
“Today White House Spokesperson Jay Carney talked about religious tolerance and respecting all religious beliefs in regard to the anti-American violence spreading around the Muslim world.
“However, President Obama has shown a profound lack of respect and tolerance toward the Christian faith by forcing Christians to abandon their deeply held religious beliefs in dictating compliance with the HHS mandate.
“This mandate would force people of faith and conscience to violate their core beliefs by having to purchase abortion-inducing drugs and sterilization in their health care plans in direct violation of their religious values and teachings of their Church.
“Mr. President, religious tolerance and respect should apply to all faith traditions. Not just Islamic extremists.”
Mr. Mahoney additionally stated:
“In today's news conference, the White House talked about religious freedom and religious tolerance. If that is true, Christians are asking that President Obama show the same respect and tolerance to the Christian community that he is showing to Islamic extremists and terrorists.
“President Obama has shown a profound lack of respect and tolerance to the Christian community by forcing people of faith to purchase abortion-inducing drugs and sterilization through their health care plans.
“Sadly, this forces Christians to violate their deeply held core values, religious beliefs and historic teachings of the Church.
“It is difficult to believe that President Obama would crush religious freedom and liberty through this HHS mandate and yet turn around and talk about religious respect and tolerance regarding the making of this anti-Islamic film.
“One could only imagine the violence and uproar around the Islamic world if President Obama forced Muslims to violate their deeply held religious views.”

[2] Presbyterian Church in Korea Celebrates 100th Anniversary
The Presbyterian Church in Korea (PCK) has received congratulations from the World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC) as it celebrates its 100th anniversary this week in Seoul, Korea.
WCRC General Secretary, Setri Nyomi, is in Seoul to bring greetings to the PCK which is one of four WCRC member churches in Korea and one of the largest Presbyterian churches in the world.
The first Korean Presbyterian minister founded a church in Hwanghae province in 1884. The PCK General Assembly was established in 1912.
In a sermon preached in the chapel of Seoul Jangsin University (a PCK institution), Nyomi says: “We praise God for one hundred years and more of faithful service to God by the Presbyterian Church in Korea.”
In his remarks, the Ghanaian theologian praises the church for its support of theological institutions, universities and congregations throughout its history.
Nyomi told the assembled faculty and students that to renew their commitment to God for the next 100 years they might ask how they plan to be friends of the poor and marginalised in Korea and throughout the world.
“Many are imprisoned because they are not free to be where they need to be – families for example have been divided for many decades on the two sides of Korea,” Nyomi noted, adding that the church needs to “be God’s prophets exposing evil and injustice.”
In a similar message to the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Korea (PROK) also meeting this week in Seoul, Nyomi says: “WCRC appreciates the prophetic role of this church on many issues and especially for peace in this land…It is our prayer that this Assembly’s deliberations will yield decisions which demonstrate the readiness of this church to take actions that foster justice and peace.”

[3] PCUSA Pittsburgh Presbytery Approves Process for Churches to Leave Denomination
A 19 September 2012 Pittsburgh Post Gazette article by Ann Rodgers titled “Presbytery OKs Process for Churches to Depart” reports that the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA)’s Pittsburgh Presbytery has adopted a policy that will allow congregations disaffected with the PCUSA’s move toward moral acceptance of homosexuality and the denomination’s drift away from biblical authority to leave the denomination and be allowed to keep their church property.
The policy requires the churches to engage in an open, two-sided discernment process and to negotiate a settlement with the presbytery. The policy includes a pledge by both the presbytery and the churches to keep the process out of the civil courts.

[4] Ghanaian President Apologizes to Presbyterian Church of Ghana Moderator for Angry Words between Ruling Party and the Church
A 14 September 2012 MyJoyOnline.com article by Nathan Gadugah titled “Prez Mahama Apologises to Presby Moderator; Calls for Cease Fire” reports that Ghanaian President John Mahama has apologized to the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) following several days of heated exchanges between ruling party leaders and the PCG over the denomination’s opposition to the creation of forty-five new constituencies in Ghana, and what the ruling party perceived as the PCG’s support of the opposition New Patriotic Party ahead of elections scheduled for December 2012.

[1] Church of Scotland Shows Solidarity with Romanian Reformed Church in Government Seizure of Church Property
A Church of Scotland partner church has had its property seized by the Romanian government.
The Romanian government has been successful in their attempts to take back a High School in Sepsiszentgyörgy, owned by the Hungarian-speaking Reformed Church, which is a partner of the Church of Scotland.
Convener of the Church of Scotland’s Church and Society Council the Rev. Sally Foster-Fulton and the Rev. Dr. Alan Falconer, Convener of the Church of Scotland’s Ecumenical Relations Committee, sent a message of support to Bishop Dr Géza Pap of the Transylvanian Reformed Church District.
Mrs Foster-Fulton said: “We are distressed and concerned to learn of the decisions of the Romanian courts with regard to the ownership of Székely Mikó Reformed High School in Sepsiszentgyörgy.
“We share the pain and fear expressed by the resolution of the Transylvanian Reformed Church District’s General Assembly, in that the rule of law, protection of minorities and the upholding of human rights appear to be in jeopardy as a result of this action.
“What is most concerning is that this action appears to be targeting a minority, as the Transylvanian Reformed Church is Hungarian-speaking, and has a different culture, ethnicity and tradition from the majority of Romanians."
The history of Church property in Romania was very difficult in the 20th Century, as after the war the Communist regime nationalised religious land and buildings. Church property was eventually restored to its original owners in 1999. This recent move is a very disappointing reversal.

[2] National Religious Broadcasters Drafts Free Speech Charter for New Media Giants
The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), America’s preeminent association of Christian broadcasters and communicators, will be unveiling a solution to the current and potential clash between free speech on the Internet and the free market power of new media giants like Apple, Google and Facebook to block viewpoints with which they don’t agree.
At 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, NRB will present its first-of-its-kind Free Speech Charter for the Internet, detailing what new media companies can do to respect free speech and how and why they should do it in accord with historic free speech principles.
The charter is a follow-up to last year’s release of True Liberty in a New Media Age, a groundbreaking report that documented examples of some censorious policies and practices of new media giants, including Apple’s infamous removal of the Manhattan Declaration and Exodus International apps from its iTunes App Store. Both faith-based apps were labeled by protesters as “anti-gay” and potentially “harmful” or “hateful,” though their creators and supporters have insisted otherwise.
“The free speech liberty of citizens who use the Internet is nearing a crisis point,” says Craig Parshall, Senior Vice President & General Counsel at NRB and Director of the John Milton Project for Religious Free Speech.
“If the standards we propose here are voluntarily adopted at this critical time, we believe that a truly free marketplace of ideas will flourish on the Internet, and in turn, generations to come will be the beneficiaries of expressive liberty in our digital age. If not, however, then we foresee a tyranny over ideas developing over web-based platforms, and a whole class of citizens of faith and others being shut out of this new electronic town square,” he adds.
Following the unveiling of the Free Speech Charter for the Internet, a panel of experts will examine the document and further discuss the issue. Mr. Parshall will be moderating the panel discussion, which will feature the following participants:
-- Steven Waldman, Founder of BeliefNet.com and Senior Media Policy Scholar at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism;
-- Adam Thierer, Senior Research Fellow at George Mason University’s Mercatus Center;
-- Colby May, Senior Counsel at the Washington, DC, office of the American Center for Law & Justice; and
-- Brian Walsh, Director of the American Religious Freedom Project at the Ethics and Public Policy Center.
Also offering remarks will be Dr. Frank Wright, NRB’s President & CEO, who describes the conflict between the free speech rights of citizen Internet users and the free market rights of new media companies as “one of the most important communications issues of our time.”
“This Free Speech Charter is a first-of-its kind manifesto, proposing a unique solution to the current clash,” he adds. The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session led by Aaron Mercer, NRB’s Vice President of Government Relations. Members of the press and other attendees are strongly encouraged to RSVP to Erin Kube at ekube@nrb.org. The event will be held in the First Amendment Lounge at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

[2] CRCNA Metis Ministry Leader to Receive Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal
Bert Adema, director of the Indian Metis Christian Fellowship (IMCF), has received an invitation to attend a ceremony in Regina, Saskatchewan, on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at which he is to be awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal.
The IMCF is a ministry of the Christian Reformed Church in North America--Canada (CRCNA).
The award, says Adema, is a recognition of the prayers and collaboration of CRCNA members whose support over the years has made the ministry of IMCF possible.
The commemorative medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne as Queen of Canada.
The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal is a tangible way for Canada to honour the queen as well as serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians, says a press release.
During the year of celebrations, 60 000 Canadians in many walks of life will be recognized for their contributions to Canada.
To be eligible for this honour, a person must have met certain criteria, including that they have “made a significant contribution to a particular province, territory, region or community within Canada, or an achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada.”
The IMCF fits this requirement.
Established in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1978, the ministry has worked to develop a worshipping /working community through serving the spiritual and social needs of aboriginal people in Regina.

[3] Churches in Hungary Express Regrets and Solidarity with the Armenian People
Bishop Péter Gáncs, Presiding Bishop of the Lutheran Church in Hungary and Bishop Gusztáv Bölcskei Ministerial President of the Synod of the Reformed Church in Hungary, sent a letter to His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, expressing their regrets and solidarity with the Armenian people to His Holiness for the recent actions by the government of Azerbaijan.
The letter reads:
“On behalf of the Protestant communities in Hungary, please accept our sincere sympathy on the unacceptable amnesty given to the Azeri criminal who was extradited from Hungary to his homeland Azerbaijan.
While we cannot question that the Hungarian authorities acted in accordance with the applicable international law, we regret that the extradition resulted in the intolerable amnesty granted to the convict by the President of Azerbaijan.
We believe that it is God only who rightly judges all of us and that it is before Him that we all have to stand one day. However, authority and responsibility to serve and protect the society as a whole has been granted to the state, thus, to let criminals to enjoy freedom is against the order of God.
We fully understand the anger of Armenian people over this reprehensible act of amnesty, and express our solidarity on behalf of our people. We pray that justice will be done and peace and understanding will abide between our nations.”

[4] National Council of Churches USA Joins Ecumenical Leaders to Protest Pardon of Officer Convicted of Killing an Armenian Officer
The National Council of Churches president and a former NCC president have joined international ecumenical leaders to protest Hungary’s release of an Azerbaijani army officer convicted in 2006 of killing an Armenian officer.
Archbishop Vicken Aykazian, a former National Council of Churches president and a member of the World Council of Churches Central Committee, said Hungary “has fallen victim to the continued anti-Armenian policies and actions of Azerbaijan.”
The release of an officer convicted of killing an Armenian on Hungarian soil “does nothing to further our quest for peace and stability for all people in the region,” said Aykazian, legate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church in America.
According to press reports, Armenia severed diplomatic ties with Hungary after Azerbaijani Lt. Ramil Safarov, serving a life sentence for the murder of an Armenian officer, was released and returned to Azerbaijan, where he was pardoned and freed.
Safarov confessed to murdering Armenian Lt. Gurgen Markarian in 2004 when the two were in Hungary on a NATO assignment.
National Council of Churches President Kathryn M. Lohre, also a member of the WCC Central Committee, said the amnesty “threatens to undermine justice and peace in the region through the cessation of diplomatic ties, and the strain on human relationships. We commit ourselves to pray for and stand in solidarity with all those who strive for human rights, peace, and understanding.”
The Rev. Dr. Olav Fykse Tveit, in a letter to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of Hungary, said the release of Safarov “appears as an action that was not properly considered on the part of the Hungarian government. Safarov’s release by the Azerbaijan government, despite his life sentence, runs counter to normative practices of justice.”
Tveit condemned “actions that severely undermine justice and reconciliation for the peoples of Armenia and Azerbaijan and the region, who have a right to live side by side with dignity, respect for human rights and in freedom.”
In a letter to His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of all Armenians, Hungarian church leaders expressed their dismay over their government's action.
Bishop Péter Gáncs, Presiding Bishop of the Lutheran Church in Hungary, and Bishop Gusztáv Bölcskei,
Ministerial President of the Synod of the Reformed Church in Hungary, wrote: "On behalf of the Protestant communities in Hungary, please accept our sincere sympathy on the unacceptable amnesty given to the Azeri criminal who was extradited from Hungary to his homeland Azerbaijan. While we cannot question that the Hungarian authorities acted in accordance with the applicable international law, we regret that the extradition resulted in the intolerable amnesty granted to the convict by the President of Azerbaijan."

[5] Republicans Pray to Satan at the GOP Convention as Romney and His Surrogates Lie to Make Mainstream the Mormon Cult
In a 31 August 2012 press release, Internet evangelist Bill Keller, founder of LivePrayer.com, said that he was horrified as he watched a Mormon cult member lead mostly biblical Christians at the Republican Convention on 30 August 2012 in a prayer to Satan, since Mormons do not pray to the God of the Bible, but to a mythical "god" they believe who was once a man!
Keller stated, "The founder of the Mormon cult, Joseph Smith was a documented convicted con artist, polygamist, pedophile, racist, and murderer, and in his greatest scam claimed to be visited by an 'angel' who led him to gold tablets in the Catskill [Mountains of New York State]. Mormons like Romney believe the Bible is a flawed and an incomplete book, superseded by Smith's writings, the Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, and Doctrines and Covenants."
Keller goes on, "Mitt Romney, Glenn Beck, and all Mormons LIE that they are Christians, when their beliefs are in 100% contradiction to biblical Christianity. They love to tout their charity and good works as Romney and his surrogates did at the GOP convention to influence people, but good works and charity do NOT make you a Christian, only faith in the Jesus of the Bible makes you a Christian!"
He continues, "Those in the Mormon cult use the words 'god' and 'jesus,' yet the 'god' and 'jesus' of the Mormon cult are NOT the God and Jesus of the Bible! Mormons believe their 'god' used to be a human who rose to god-like status, just like Romney, Beck, and all Mormons believe they will too after their death. The 'jesus' of the Mormon cult is the natural offspring of their 'god' Elohim who had sex with Mary, meaning their jesus is a created being and NOT a deity as the Bible teaches, and is also the brother of Lucifer!"
Keller concludes, "Glenn Beck has done all he has over the past two years to prepare the way for the Mormon fulfillment of the 'White Horse Prophecy' of Smith that says the nation will be in complete chaos and a Mormon will be elected President and set aside the US Constitution and enact a Mormon theocracy. What Romney will never tell you about is that as a fifth generation high priest and Temple Mormon, he wears 24/7/365 the 'temple garments' (magical underwear) of the priesthood with the markings of Satan!"
Keller is disgusted that the media is so theologically ignorant of what Mormons believe, that the very thing that has guided Romney since he was at [Brigham Young University in Orem, Utah] and called by his classmates 'the chosen one,' are never challenged. He said in a recent interview that the better percentage of two full generations have never even been in church, and coupled with the aggressive recruiting of the Mormon cult, if Romney is elected President his cult will become mainstream and well over 1 million souls in this country alone will end up buying into the false gospel of the Mormon cult and their souls spending forever in hell.

[6] Political Action Committee Chairman Calls on Mitt Romney to Dump Karl Rove
[Editor’s Note: U.S. Rep. Todd Akin is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), is a graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, and is an inactive ruling elder at Twin Oaks PCA in Ballwin, Missouri.]
Karl Rove's "joke" about murdering Congressman Todd Akin was so distasteful as to shame the entire Republican Party, says William J. Murray, Chairman of Government Is Not God – PAC.
According to trusted media sources during a closed meeting Karl Rove stated, "We should sink Todd Akin. If he's found mysteriously murdered, don't look for my whereabouts!" Rove spent millions of dollars supporting Akin's opponent in the Missouri primary and is now trying to discredit Akin over a misstatement he made shortly after winning.
Murray said, "Congressman Akin made a misstatement on the subject of rape and conception for which he apologized. Apparently Karl Rove believes the apology is not enough and that Akin should pay with his life. Jokes about murder are not jokes when it comes to politicians where the risks of assassination are real."
"If Karl Rove does not immediately apologize to Congressman Akin then Presidential candidate Mitt Romney should publicly demand that he apologize. If Karl Rove refuses to apologize to Congressman Akin then Governor Romney should publically disassociate himself from the consultant and his super-PAC," said Murray.
