A 7 December 2012 The Herald article by Brian Donnelly titled “Kirk under Fire as Court Officers Disrupt Prayers reports that law officers acting on behalf of the Church of Scotland (CoS) entered a prayer meeting at St. George’s Tron, Glasgow, Scotland to serve papers demanding the return of Bibles, hymn books, and an organ. The CoS had previously threatened the congregation with eviction from the premises after it split from the CoS in opposition to the ordination of homosexual ministers.
St. George’s Tron pastor the Rev. Dr. William Philip commented: “To disrupt a prayer meeting in that way and demand the organ and other key items that were gifted to the congregation, just weeks before Christmas, truly beggars belief.
“Not content to evict us, it seems they are determined to publicly humiliate our leaders and frighten our members, some of whom are vulnerable people.
“It is shameful. Having law officers disrupt a church meeting and intimidate a church is something we associate with China or former Soviet dictatorships but is the last thing we expected from the so-called national Church.”
"We have sought to avoid going to the courts at every opportunity which is why we took the decision to vacate the building rather than fight for it, trusting God as we enter this new phase of ministry to which he has called us. But to do this we need resources like our hymn books, organ and bibles, so we have been left with no other option but to contest this petty and ridiculous action."

[2] PCUSA Church Organist Shot and Killed by Ex-Husband during 2 December 2012 Church Service
Darlene Sitler, choir director and organist at First United Presbyterian Church (Presbyterian Church (PCUSA)) of Coudersport, Pennsylvania, was shot and killed by her ex-husband Gregory Eldred during the 2 December 2012 church service.
Eldred was reported to have entered the church, pointed the gun and fired at Ms. Sitler, left the church, and returned five minutes later saying he wanted to finish the job, whereupon Eldred shot Ms. Sitler two more times before being subdued by congregation members.
Eldred was subsequently arrested and charged with murder.

A 6 December 2012 Michigan Live article by Matt Vande Bunte titled “Christian Reformed Church to Cut Publishing Staff” reported that the Christian Reformed Church in North America will cut by eighteen percent the staff of the denomination’s publishing arm Faith Alive Christian Resources due to lagging revenues and increasing costs.

[3] Evangelical Presbyterian Church Joins Stormans et al v. Selecky et al Amicus
Denominational News Nov 28, 2012
By the action of its Committee on Administration (COA) on November 21, the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) joined other religious organizations in an amicus curiae (friend of court) brief in the case of Stormans et al v. Selecky et al, a case that is being appealed to the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
At issue in the appeal is whether the State of Washington can force medical providers to furnish medical services and medications, in this case emergency contraceptives that may act as abortifacients, in violation of their religious beliefs. A federal court in Washington struck down the state’s regulations as a violation of the Free Exercise Clause of the U.S. Constitution. The State of Washington (“Selecky et al”) is appealing this ruling to the Ninth Circuit Court. The EPC joined the amicus curiae in support of Stormans, et al, the parties that filed suit against the State’s regulations.

A 27 November 2012 article in The Aquila Report titled Seven PCA Ministers from Metro New York Presbytery Transfer to the EPC reports that on 13 November 2012 the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA)’s Metro New York Presbytery approved the requested transfer of seven of its ministers to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC). The transferred ministers believe that their views on the ministry of the church are more in agreement with the EPC that with the PCA.

Several representatives of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA) will join with a diverse group of other people in Washington DC on 19 December 2012 in recognition of a U.S. Government apology to Native Americans that was buried in the middle of the U.S. 2010 Department of Defence Appropriations Bill.
Madison Square Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan will charter a bus to the event if enough people sign up for the trip.
Organizing the event is Mr. Mark Charles, whose mother was an American of Dutch descent and whose father was a Navajo.

[3] Uganda’s President Publicly Repents for Nation’s Sins: Western Media Criticize Country’s Stance on Gay Rights

There could not be a more stark contrast. As President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda boldly repented of his nation’s sins last month, western news media have increasingly denounced Uganda’s stance opposing gay rights.
President Museveni celebrated Uganda’s 50th anniversary of independence from Britain at a National Jubilee Prayers event last month. During the celebration, he did something very unusual for a national leader: he publicly repented of his personal sins and the sins of the nation.
Museveni began his prayer with thanks, then declared his intention to make a firm break with the past:
“Father God in heaven, today we stand here as Ugandans, to thank you for Uganda. We are proud that we are Ugandans and Africans. We thank you for all your goodness to us.
“I stand here today to close the evil past and especially in the last 50 years of our national leadership history and at the threshold of a new dispensation in the life of this nation. I stand here on my own behalf and on behalf of my predecessors to repent. We ask for your forgiveness,” Museveni said.
“We confess these sins, which have greatly hampered our national cohesion and delayed our political, social and economic transformation.”
Next, President Museveni got specific in his acknowledgement of sinful activity.
“We confess sins of idolatry and witchcraft which are rampant in our land. We confess sins of shedding innocent blood, sins of political hypocrisy, dishonesty, intrigue and betrayal."
“Forgive us of sins of pride, tribalism and sectarianism; sins of laziness, indifference and irresponsibility; sins of corruption and bribery that have eroded our national resources; sins of sexual immorality, drunkenness and debauchery; sins of unforgiveness, bitterness, hatred and revenge; sins of injustice, oppression and exploitation; sins of rebellion, insubordination, strife and conflict.”
The president then asked God for a new beginning:
“These sins and many others have characterized our past leadership, especially the last 50 years of our history. Lord forgive us and give us a new beginning. Give us a heart to love you, to fear you and to seek you. Take away from us all the above sins.
“We pray for national unity. Unite us as Ugandans and eliminate all forms of conflict, sectarianism and tribalism. Help us to see that we are all your children, children of the same Father. Help us to love and respect one another and to appreciate unity in diversity.
“We pray for prosperity and transformation. Deliver us from ignorance, poverty and disease. As leaders, give us wisdom to help lead our people into political, social and economic transformation.”
To close his remarkable prayer, Museveni dedicated Uganda to God:
“We want to dedicate this nation to you so that you will be our God and guide. We want Uganda to be known as a nation that fears God and as a nation whose foundations are firmly rooted in righteousness and justice to fulfill what the Bible says in Psalm 33:12: Blessed is the nation, whose God is the Lord. A people you have chosen as your own.
“I renounce all the evil foundations and covenants that were laid in idolatry and witchcraft. I renounce all the satanic influence on this nation. And I hereby covenant Uganda to you, to walk in your ways and experience all your blessings forever.
“I pray for all these in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
While President Museveni repented for “sexual immorality” among other sins, he did not single out homosexuality for any special attention.
Yet, a backlash in the western media ensued, with particular ire directed against the country’s strong stand opposing homosexual rights.
On November 27, 2012 the L.A. Times editorial pages lamented Uganda’s “ignominious anti-gay bill” currently under consideration. Uganda already outlaws homosexual activity, along with 30 other African countries, which the L.A. Times editorial describes as “homophobic.”
The proposed legislation would prohibit the licensing of organizations that promote homosexuality. It would also prohibit touching another person with the intent of homosexual activity, and impose a duty on the community to report suspected cases of homosexuality.
The L.A. Times calls on Uganda to “evolve” toward a more liberal viewpoint favored in western countries. “The criminalization of gay behavior cannot simply be explained away as part of a country’s cultural mores; rather, it is an outrageous violation of fundamental human rights.”

[4] Obama’s Incarnation of Hitler’s Youth
[Editor’s Note: The logical fallacy Reductio ad Hitlerum was coined in 1951 by Leo Strauss in Natural Right and History to describe the discrediting of another’s view by arguing that the same view would have been held by Hitler or the Nazis. The editor remembers commonly hearing from schoolmates during his elementary school days in the early 1960’s a corollary logical fallacy (Expansionem ad Hitlerum?) which argued that Hitler and Nazis were not all that bad because they introduced the Volkswagen and the Autobahn to the world. Another corollary Reductio ad Hitlerum logical fallacy occurs when a comparison to Hitler and the Nazis is made that is both logical and unfallacious, but is tarred with the Reductio ad Hitlerum label anyway.

Too often, debate in America seems to end with the rhetorical firebombing of one side (usually liberals) calling those that disagree with them Nazis or Hitler. Ironic since Hitler and Nazis were socialists, but I digress.
But sometimes, when the veil of hidden agendas is thin and something doesn’t stay under the radar, one can be amazed at just how similar the Obama Administration resembles the Third Reich.
In this matter I am speaking specifically of Obama’s Youth Brigade, euphemistically called by the administration the FEMA Corp.
Before we get into the FEMA Corp, let’s rundown the Hitler Youth group. The HY were a paramilitary organization created by Adolf Hitler in 1922 comprising of German boys from the age of 14-18. The HY was organized into local cells on a community level (Community Organizer…that sounds familiar). Such cells had weekly meetings at which various Nazi doctrines were taught by adult HY leaders. Regional leaders typically organized rallies and field exercises in which several dozen Hitler Youth cells would participate.
As a paramilitary organization, the Hitler Youth could be and were used as an armed auxiliary force to perform a variety of duties such as being active in fire brigades and assisting with recovery efforts from natural disasters and later Allied bombings. The Hitler Youth also assisted in such organizations as the Reich Postal Service, fire services, Reich radio service, and served among anti-aircraft defense crews.
All in all, the Hitler Youth served as Hitler’s Homeland Defense contingent of people that were wholly and completely under his thrall and could be used at a moments notice to quell any unrest within the Reich under the auspices of disaster relief. Members of HY were indoctrinated from the moment they joined in order to be completely behind their leader did not hesitate to instill their leaders vision.
Fast forward some 90+ years and we have President Obama saying this in 2008 in Colorado:
“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
A civilian national security force? I doubt he was talking about private militias, and I guess the National Guard wasn’t what he had in mind. Why? Because neither of those groups would be directly under his control. Rather, they would answer to either a free citizen, or a state. But a “civilian national security force” under the purview of FEMA would answer directly to him. And when you hand select who will be allowed to join this force you are all ready weeding out the possibility of dissent.
Let’s talk about this force and who are members of it. In October, the Department of Homeland Security graduated its first class of 231 Homeland Youth. These young adults, aged 18-24, were recruited from the President’s AmeriCorp volunteers and represent the first wave of DHS’s youth corps, designed specifically to create a full time, paid, standing army of FEMA Youth across the country.
AmeriCorp participants aged 18-24? I challenge you to pick out a demographic that would be MORE pliable to Obama’s indoctrination. This is his bread and butter constituency, the one that got him elected twice and the one that his economy has robbed of a future. Of course they will view being a part of the Obama’s Youth Brigade as proof that their chosen Messiah can do no wrong and is there to help them. I mean…its either this or living with your parents because you can’t get a job in this economy.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I am all for disaster relief…but my question is what do they need billions of rounds of ammunition and armored fighting vehicles for?
The Department of Homeland Defense has in the past six months purchased in excess of 1.2 BILLION rounds of ammunition to be doled out to FEMA, the Social Security Administration, the TSA and other traditionally non military organizations.
I guess in Obama’s America tradition is something to be torn down to be replaced by his vision.
So, what do we have? We have a paramilitary organization who are true believers and followers of Obama and who will not question the orders given. They have been indoctrinated to follow their orders and have been heavily armed and equipped to crackdown on dissent or opposition. And they come under the guise of disaster relief and help from the government. If this isn’t a redux of the Hitler’s Youth Brigade I do not know what is.
These are interesting times we live in. No wonder Obama refuses to nominate anyone other than rabid anti gun judges to judicial posts. The Second Amendment is his last hurdle in order to get what he wants, complete control. He rules America by Executive Order, he has no need for silly little things like Federal Budgets, he flaunts his disdain for the citizenry openly and his contempt for the Constitution is palpable.
If one wants to see how this is run on a smaller level, one need look no further than Mayor Bloomberg of New York. He has all but disarmed his populace, rules by fiat, and during the Hurricane Sandy recovery denied access to Brooklyn to the National Guard because he didn’t want anyone in his city that didn’t answer directly to him…citizenry be damned.
And I am not saying that in four years Obama will try to further circumvent the constitution by running for President again, he doesn’t have too. If he is allowed to lay the ground work that undermines not only the Constitution but also the very nature of being American, then he has won. It doesn’t matter who takes over after because the bell cannot be un-rung, and if a follower of his wins then the precipitous slide speeds all the faster.
These are interesting times indeed. The next four years may fully and wholly dictate the future of America unlike any since the Revolution.
